Old Bridge Cellars Shiraz Sampler

Old Bridge Cellars Shiraz Sampler

Varietal: Shiraz

Region: 6 Key Regions across Australia

You know what they say about Australian Shiraz: it's all the same overblown, jammy, alcoholic lolly juice without any structure or individual character. WRONG!!! Let us prove it to you. This is a pack of six Australian Shirazes from six different Australian regions. 50ml tastes in individual bottles.

Start your journey near Sydney in the Hunter Valley with a savory Shiraz from Brokenwood. South of there lies the city of Melbourne and the Yarra Valley, Victoria wine region, the home of Innocent Bystander Winery. Innocent Bystander takes advantage of one of the cooler climate wine regions in Australia to produce a unique Shiraz-Viognier that is perhaps more Rhône-like than any of the other wines in this sampler. Next take a trip all the way out to Western Australia, where Plantagenet produces a spicy and sumptuous Shiraz in the Great Southern region near Mount Barker. Staying in South Australia but hopping over to the Clare Valley, the Kilikanoon "Covenant" Shiraz will next please your palate with its wonderfully textured mouth-feel and persistent finish. Next, head towards Adelaide, where you'll find the McLaren Vale and experience the beautiful aromatics and elegance of the Laughing Magpie Shiraz-Viognier by d'Arenberg. Finish this taste adventure with a wine from the famed Barossa Valley, and from this region we have the rich and intense John Duval "Entity" Shiraz.
